Humphrey was tried at Salisbury in Wiltshire on the 5th of March 1785 for assault and highway robbery.
Humphrey was sentenced to death which was commuted to transportation for 7 years. He left England with the first fleet on board the Alexander.
Humphrey's occupation was listed as a tailor.
He commited suicide by drowning in 1817.
