John was tried at Hertford in Hertforshire on the 4th of March 1786, for stealing livestock worth 25 shillings (turkeys).
John was sentenced to transportation for 7 years. He left England with the first fleet on board the Alexander.
John's occupation was recorded as a labourer.
John died during this historic voyage.
