Nicholas was tried at the Old Bailey in London on the 8th of December 1784, for attempted highway robbery of unknown value.
Although Nicholas was sentenced to transportation for 7 years, he DID NOT ACTUALLY SAIL with the first fleet as he was pardoned before the fleet left.
His occupation was not recorded.
Nicholas's partner in crime was Robert FREEMAN who was not pardoned and left England aboard the Alexander.
