RESEARCHED BY PETER KILLACKEY CONVICT - RICHARD DAY FIRST FLEET TRANSPORTEE b. 1765 - d. 1787 Richard was tried at Reading in Berkshire on the 24th of July 1786, for burglary worth 65 shillings. Richard was sentenced to transportation for 7 years. He left England with the first fleet on board the Alexander. Richard's occupation was recorded as labourer. He died during the historic voyage.
