Thomas was tried at Pontefract in the county of Yorkshire on the 13th of January 1785 for stealing a silver mug and spoons worth 15 shillings.
Thomas was sentenced to transportation for 7 years. He left England with the first fleet on board the Alexander.
Thomas' occupation was listed as a servant. He stayed here only to fulfill his gaol time, leaving NSW in 1794.
