Thomas was tried at Bristol in the county of Gloucestershire on the 30th of October 1782 for stealing Irish linen worth 120 shillings.
Thomas was sentenced to transportation for 7 years. He left England with the first fleet on board the Alexander.
Thomas' occupation was not recorded.
In July 1789, Thomas received 150 lashes for buying 'necessaries' from a marine.
