RESEARCHED BY PETER KILLACKEY
CONVICT - WILLIAM DAVIS
FIRST FLEET TRANSPORTEEb. 1764 - d. 1830
William was tried at Brecknock in Brecon on the 12th of July 1785, for reasons unknown.
He was sentenced to transportation for life and left England with the first fleet on board the Alexander.
William's occupation was recorded as a baker.
This William Davis probably received 25 lashes for lighting a fire in his hut but some confusion exists between another William Davis who arrived on the Friendship.
