Weather Situation

A low pressure trough over South Australia will continue moving eastwards, entering western Victoria on Sunday morning and reaching eastern Victoria late Sunday afternoon and evening. A cold front will follow across southern Victoria a few hours after the trough and an associated low will develop to the west of Tasmania before deepening and moving southeastwards on Monday. A weak cold front will brush the Victorian coast late Monday. A weak high pressure ridge will extend across the State on Tuesday, before moving over Tasmania on Wednesday.

Partly cloudy. Winds north to northwesterly averaging 10 to 20 km/h.

Sunday 5 February

Partly cloudy. Isolated showers and the chance of thunderstorms from midday. Winds northerly averaging 20 to 30 km/h, reaching 50 km/h at times, tending cooler westerly up to 45 km/h during the afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 19 and 22 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 30s.
