Bowls Offences - The 7 Commandments

To keep the game of bowls fair, one must obey these rules in particular.

Thou Shalt Not...

play on the same green, on the same day, prior to the competition;

Thou Shalt Not...

place any object, bowl, or jack on the green for assistance, except for marking a live jack or toucher in the ditch;

Thou Shalt Not...

distract opponents while they are bowling;

Thou Shalt Not...

stand less than 1yd behind the end of the mat or in front of the jack when someone is bowling, except for a skip or third man directing play (the player is not allowed to remain in front of the jack after the bowl is delivered);

Thou Shalt Not...

change bowls during a game except after an objection or if they have been damaged;

Thou Shalt Not...

play a bowl out of turn;

Thou Shalt Not...

play the wrong bowl.
