The Toucher

A toucher is a bowl that touches the jack during its course. It is not a bowl that first rebounds from the far bank or touches the jack as a result of a subsequent bowl.

A jack remains in play if it rebounds from the far bank onto the rink.

If the jack is lying in the far ditch, subsequent bowls cannot become touchers. Touchers are immediately marked with a chalk. These marks are removed after each end.
