Flat Green (lawn) Bowls - Placing The Mat.

Picture #1 The mat is positioned at the start of each end and must not be removed until the end is completely finished.
At the start of play (beginning of the first end), the mat is positioned lengthwise in the centre of the rink. Its back edge should be 1.2 metres from the rear ditch (see pic 1)
Picture #2 In all subsequent ends, the back edge of the mat shall be not less than 1.2m from the rear ditch and the front edge should be not less than 24.3 metres away from the front ditch.
The mat should be placed in the centre line of the rink in play.
