Flat Green (lawn) Bowls - The Rink

Picture #1 For a bowls match to take place, the main bowls green is divided into sections called rinks.
No matter which club you visit in Australia, you will find the rinks will all be numbered consecutively. The centre line of each rink will be marked on the bank at each end, by a peg or other suitable device, and it will have the rink identification number displayed on it.Picture #2
The minimum width of a rink will be 4.3 metres and the maximum width will be 5.8 metres

Rinks will be bounded at the sides by imaginary straight lines touching the outer edges of the side boundary pegs.
