Location Follow the Midland hwy 23Km north of Bendigo to Huntly, then turn left into Milwood Rd.

The Kamarooka comes to life during spring, with much of its forest wildlife coming out of habitation. There are plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting or nature study here!

History During the past 160 years, Kamarooka forest has produced large amounts of eucalyptus oil, timber and honey. Adding to this a large gold mining industry and you’ll see the haunting effects of, industry abuse caused by humans on these fields. You can help this forest by getting involved with Bendigo’s forest recovery plan. The Kamarooka forest has been managed by; Parks Victoria as a State Park since 1987

Park Facilities Provisions for a picnic, B-B-Q or camping in the park are provided. Toilets are located at picnic/camp sites. Visitors are advised to bring their own firewood and drinking water. (No fires may be lit on days of total fire ban).

Walking Tracks We graded the walking tracks as easy to moderate.

Duration we found that it was easy to spend 4 hours or longer exploring the area at a leisurely pace.
