Although situated in Charing Cross, the Alexandra Fountain is a landmark in our town and begins the stretch known as Pall Mall.

On the left hand side, the courtyard of Queen Victoria gardens forms one entrance in to Rosalind Park. You will find plenty of seating with perfect
views of Charing Cross, View Point, the fountain and other Beautiful Buildings. The air of enchantment broadens with the arrival of the trams, and its passengers both embark and disembark ready to continue their journey. The smiles on faces showing their excitement at traversing Bendigo's greatest treasure.
Stroll through the Queen Victoria Gardens and you will walk into the ex-service-women's memorial gardens. Across the road, the Beehive building housed the mining exchange for over 50 years.

Just past the ladies memorial garden on the left, the flagpole marks the Return Soldiers League's Memorial Hall & Museum, which is also home to the Bendigo R.S.L.. Built in 1921 and very pleasing to the eye, it is surrounded by Rosalind Park and arguably, is one of Bendigo's finest buildings.

Keep walking past the R.S.L. and you'll find the Lansell Gardens. Across the road from this, the location of Sydney Myers' 1st ever Myers store.

At the end of the Lansell Gardens is Williamson St. This corner is one of the nicest places you can turn around and take in your surroundings.
